Dear Friends,

Everything starts from yes! As the days grow longer and we navigate a year filled with pure potential, it’s a great time to reflect compassionately upon the state of your well-being. Do you recognize the evidence of your progress towards your goals for health and happiness in recent months? Is there also evidence of setbacks or perhaps some resistance to success? If this review prompts harsh feelings or self-judgment, it would likely serve you well to re-frame that response. For instance, what would you say in order to help, encourage and support one of your dearest friends going through a similar situation to your own? You can be that friend by encouraging yourself with patience and compassion which make all the difference in the world. Beginning anew from a place of acceptance and worthiness, we are in a better position to say “Yes, and…”

Throughout life, we all have times that feel down or even dark. Sometimes we judge ourselves as weak, lazy, ineffective or lost when our energy doesn’t meet the demands of our lives. It may not even occur to us that we NEED A REST. These lower times present an excellent opportunity to give yourself a ‘pass’. Tune in and ask what you truly need now. Is it warmth, sunshine, comfort, practices that promote your better peace of mind, connection to others, someone to witness your process, fresh air, reassurance, music, laughter or a quiet space? I’d love to hear from you. What have you done this month to truly care for you?

Rising Up

Many of the things that uplift our spirits are very simple. We need to pay attention to our longings, and do our best to nourish and nurture ourselves along the way. Rest, take baths with bath salts or essential oils, eat good foods, give yourself a hand or foot massage, do some qigong, yoga, chanting or prayer. Drink more water, and get outside in nature as often as you can, even if it’s only for brief periods of time.

You can eat off of the good dishes, listen to your favorite music, and make a list of what uplifts your spirit most. Using just one thing (at a time), we find our way back to that which helps us to feel good, better, and best! It helps to trust that the sun willshine again, and pay attention to nature’s cycles. Each year, season, month, day, hour, even each of us is cyclical. Call and ask for what you need from trusted support people; friends, family or church members, a counselor, teacher or spiritual guide.

Have you considered reflective writing?  Sometimes I write out exactly what I’m feeling & thinking: dark, scared, lonely aspects in life that are wanting to be heard/seen. Once it is all there on paper (yes, paper!, but of course you can e-journal) and I feel ‘spent’ – like it’s all there in the open, I can then continue on to write the thoughts and feelings I wish to have. I’m excited to be offering a Writing to Heal Workshop Series starting February 11th in Eagan, Minnesota!

Haiku is one of my favored forms of writing because of its structure and the discipline and creativity required to create it. As a youngster, I wrote Haiku about nature and love. These days I write Haiku about what I’m experiencing now, and allow it to lead me into exploring my positive vision for where I am aiming in my life; to more peace, acceptance, beauty, connection, love, gratitude and vibrant aliveness!

The Law of Attraction says that what we focus on increases. I have seen this work in so many ways in my life that I could write three books about it!  It is a vital point to pay attention to on any healing journey, in business, relationships and life. What do you want to get better at this year? Place your positive focus there consistently and you’ll see results!

Healing With Words: A Series of Writing Workshops

Five (5) Sunday afternoons February 11 – March 11, 2018.
1:00 – 3:30 p.m. at Golden Essence Healing Arts in Eagan
It’s Your Time for Healing With Words

Writing is a powerful avenue of expression, transformation and healing.  Many people process thoughts, feelings, and dynamic inner lives through reflective and/or creative writing, while others have little experience with writing with or about their deepest needs, authentic truth or inner wisdom. In this beautiful space dedicated to deep healing & going within, you will have an opportunity to expand your awareness,

Through guided meditation and guided reflective writing, Master Teacher and avid writer Rhonda Battisto will help you to develop a better awareness of the mind, body, and spirit connection and how it can help to guide you in your life.  As we tap into our dynamic inner world, unique and authentic truths emerge to guide us with their deep wisdom and help us enjoy a better life than we ever imagined.

Open to adults with all levels of writing experience. Feel free to bring your friends and attend one, several, or all sessions.  Each afternoon will be a unique experience and have its own specific focus. Each workshop can ‘stand on its own’. Though there is no pre-requisite for any session, each and all were developed to weave a wonderful pattern.  Those who can attend all five will enjoy more than 40% savings!  SPACE IS LIMITED. REGISTER TODAY!

Have fun, make friends, and open to greater insight, inspiration and healing. Come and explore with us!

Healing Pixie, a 12-year-old Pug

A friend told me during a visit that her dog, an aging pug had a number of health challenges, including incontinence. She wondered if this was a sign of the beginning of the end of her life. I offered to send qigong distance healing energy to Pixie, and was  met with an enthusiastic “Yes, please!”  I also advised her where she could focus her healing energy to help Pixie at home, too. She was glad to have a way to better aid the most ‘vertically challenged’ member of her family!

In the following days, I conveyed healing energy from a distance several times to clear blockages and restore the flow of vital life-force energy in Pixie. The next week I received a message of thanks. I asked for a photo of Pixie in the same moment that one was being spontaneously sent!   Great minds think alike, and – more importantly – connected hearts heal the world!  Pixie’s increased energy level and easier breathing creates a happier pug! The immediate, full resolution of Pixie’s incontinence with qigong makes everyone in Pixie’s home happy!

It would be an honor to provide healing support to your helper or best friend (pet or service animal), too! Contact Rhonda to schedule a complimentary telephone consultation today!

Crescent Cove Pediatric Respite & Hospice Home

Grand Opening!!

Crescent Cove founder Katie Lindenfelser’s vision is realized! The country’s third and the Midwest’s first pediatric respite and hospice home is now open! Grand opening ceremonies and open house days were held throughout the third week in November. Families, practitioners, donors and volunteers toured and enjoyed the lovely spaces with delight. https://www.mprnews.org/story/2017/11/16/new-hospice-offer-kids-family-peace-hope

So many families are living with the chronic stresses of having a child with a life-limiting illness, or actively dying.  This home means so much to them!  http://crescentcove.org/why-we-do-it/kidsandfamilies/meet-serenity/  Crescent Cove supports the whole family with respite visits and hospice care, alternative holistic therapies; qigong, music and art therapy, massage, and more in a caring, sacred environment. Now that the home is open there is a need for millions of love dollars to operate it in support of ill children and their families. Please help me to support this nonprofit with your tax deductible donation of $5, $500, or more, today!
